Roland Hermann was born in 1950 in St. Veit in the Austrian Province of Carinthia. After graduating from the Technical College for Mechanical Engineering, from 1971 to 1981 Hermann worked for various Austrian and foreign companies as a project engineer. Out of his love for aviation – he trained to be a professional pilot with Lufthansa from 1973 to 1975 – Hermann joined Salzburg Airport in 1981. In 1990 he was granted commercial power of attorney. From 2001 to 2007 he has also been serving as Executive Director of the Airport’s handling subsidiary, Salzburg Airport Services GmbH. Since July 1, 2007, Roland Hermann is appointed as chief executive officer of Salzburger Flughafen GmbH.

Dipl.-Ing. Rudolf LIPOLD
Head of Division Operations & Engineering, Executive Vice President

Rudolf Lipold was born in Vienna in 1956. In 1984 he finished his studies at the Vienna University of Technology with a major in Civil Engineering/Transportation. He then spent five years as an expert in aviation and airport operations with the Austrian Federal Ministry of Transport. In 1989 he assumed the head of the Engineering Division at Salzburg Airport. Lipold completed his training as a professional pilot in 1990. In 1995 he took the examination to become a civil engineer. In 1997 he was granted commercial power of attorney and since 2000 he has also been Executive Director of Carport Parkmanagement GmbH. On January 1, 2006, he was appointed head of the Operations & Engineering Division. Since July 1, 2007 Rudolf Lipold is appointed as executive director of Salzburg Aiport Services GmbH.
