Already since 2001 Salzburg Airport offers passengers to deposit and receive back after return prohibited objects which may not be taken on board the aircraft for only EUR 2,- charge.

This service was helpful for passengers returning to Salzburg only.

Since June 15, 2007, the company Securitas - responsible for the security control at Salzburg Airport - will forward on demand these prohibited objects such as knives, files, cosmetics (EU regulations) etc. to the passenger's home address (EUR 10 for mailing in envelope, EUR 15 mailing in postal box).
