The traditional Salzburg Airport Golf Challenge took place on 14th of August at the golf club Mondsee. This year 130 players went to the start and proved their ability at the 18 hole course.

Prominent participants from sports, politics, tourism and economics could be welcomed: Andreas Goldberger, Felix Gottwald, Othmar Raus, Kai Utermann (Lufthansa CEO Austria) and Oliver Kitz (Casino Austria).

Every year the net profit of the Salzburg Airport Golf Challenge is donated to a social purpose. This year the airport management decided to benefit the Child Soul Assistance Salzburg. CEO Roland Hermann presented a cheque at a value of EUR 22,500 to Gerhard Buchleitner, representative of the Child Soul Assistance Salzburg and former govenor of Salzburg.
