Firmly established as the third largest UK based airline, Thomsonfly will fly from Salzburg to more UK airports than any other UK based carrier. In addition to new winter routes to Manchester and Doncaster in the north of England, and London Gatwick in the south, flights to Coventry in the Midlands and Bournemouth in the south will continue for next winter.

The northern cities of Manchester, Liverpool and Blackpool are all within easy reach of Manchester airport. While Manchester’s Trafford Centre is a shopper’s paradise, peaceful waterways, secluded greenery and pleasant villages are just a stone’s throw away,

Robin Hood Airport Doncaster-Sheffield is perfectly located for exploring the north of England. Situated in south Yorkshire the airport provides easy access to several northern cities including Doncaster, Sheffield, Leeds and Nottingham. Sheffield is home to the famous Meadowhall shopping centre – an excellent location to do some Christmas shopping. Nearby, both Sherwood Forest and the Peak District are areas of outstanding natural beauty.

London Gatwick is ideally situated for access to London and the south of England.  Explore London, the UK’s capital city with its wealth of history and heritage, vibrant nightlife and cultural gems, or venture into the south-east for the rolling countryside of the South Downs, exhilarating water sports and charming villages.

Coventry Airport’s location in the heart of England is perfect for quick access to some of the most visited and historic tourist sites in the UK and has excellent connections to the rest of the country.  Close by is the city of Birmingham which is home to a wealth of arts, culture, café-bars, restaurants and Bullring "Europe’s new shopping capital".

Bournemouth Airport is situated on England’s south coast.  The surrounding area is home to "typically English" villages, idyllic countryside and stunning coastlines and beaches.  The town is becoming evermore popular with younger holidaymakers making it one of the fastest growing towns in Europe. Further afield lie the New Forest National Park and Dorset’s World Heritage Jurassic coastline, both offering a great opportunity to experience the south coast.  The town also benefits from great onward transport links, making it a useful gateway to London for business travelers as well as holidaymakers.

With the increase in services to Salzburg to up to 24 flights per week, Thomsonfly is now the UK’s number one airline to the destination, bringing over 50,000 people in to Salzburg to enjoy the city and the nearby ski resorts.

Guy Stephenson, Commercial Director of Thomsonfly comments "We are delighted to be bringing more visitors to Salzburg and the surrounding area which will benefit the local economy.  We also hope that the Austrian people will make the most of the opportunity to see more of England".

Thomsonfly remains committed to providing a high level of customer service and offers allocated seating on all flights unlike the majority of low fares airlines, as well as offering passengers the opportunity to book inflight meals and extra legroom.  Thomsonfly also offers a generous free total baggage allowance of 25 kg, with the option to take up to 10 kg of the allowance in hand luggage.
