As of April 4 Salzburger have been able to fly to Brussels and Dublin on a shoestring. The most popular European low-cost airline now takes off to Brussels and Dublin. The flights depart at 17:35 for Brussels Charleroi and 20:55 for Dublin.

While the Belgian route is offered four times per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday), the Dublin route is flown on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. State of the art Boeing B737-800s with 189 seats fly both routes.

The Salzburg Region expects these new flights to stimulate significant tourism from Ireland and the Benelux countries this summer. Flight service is planned to continue into the winter season 2006/2007 as well.
