Salzburg Airport has it’s own motorway exit. It lies centrally on the north-south (G, I) and east-west (H, CZ, D, CH) motorway junction. The airport is located 4 km from the German border and 4 km from the city centre.

Border "Freilassing" - Münchner Bundesstraße - Ignaz Harrerstraße - turn right onto Rudolf Biebel Straße (B1) - at crossroads "hospital" (sign "Flughafen") turn right onto Innsbrucker Bundesstraße (B1) to the airport

From the direction of Bad Reichenhall without a motorway Vignette:
Border "Kleiner Walserberg" - Bundesstraße 1 (B1) - Innsbrucker Bundesstraße (B1) to the airport

From the direction of Burghausen/Ach, Passau, Laufen/Oberndorf without  a motorway Vignette:
Lamprechtshausener Bundesstraße (B156) - Itzlinger Hauptstrasse - turn right onto the Raiffeisenstrasse – Schillerstrasse - turn right onto the Andreas-Hofer-Strasse – Plainstrasse - turn right onto Jahnstrasse - turn left onto Haunspergstraße - turn right onto St. Julien Straße (B1) - turn left onto Rudolf Biebel Strasse (B1) - at crossroads "hospital" (sign "Flughafen") turn right onto Innsbrucker Bundesstraße (B1) to the airport
