The cargo terminal located at eastern part of the airport provides 1,600 square meters of office- and 2,300 square meters of storage space. Additional special facilities like two lock chambers for dangerous goods,
a room for refrigeration and cooling enables a handling of special goods.
The capacity of the terminal enables an air cargo- respectively substitute truck traffic handling of up to 11,500 tons per year.
The core piece of this air cargo terminal is a roofed 890 square meter large unit load device (ULD). This up to date facility enables the complete handling of cargo pallets including loading and unloading of the trucks and the storage.
The cargos terminal is not able to provide parking positions for aircrafts. The cargo of the scheduled aircrafts is transported by airport trucks via a road tunnel under the runway from the main parking position to the cargo terminal where the air cargo shipment is handed over to the customers shortly after.
