Since January 1st, 2001 Securitas is respnsible for the passenger and luggage control at Salzburg Airport on behalf of the Ministry of Interior. The contract is currently served with 160 employees.

What am I not allowed to carry as hand luggage?
You should have enough time
Please do take care when you plan your flight and travel details. Depending on the number of other passengers at check-in and the time needed for security control you could have more time to wait than you originally thought. You of course would like to feel safe at the airport and in the airplane. To guarantee this security the careful and thorough control measures have to be carried out. Of course the duration of your wait at the control points, depends on the number and size of the pieces of luggage which each person takes as hand luggage. Please limit your hand luggage to just one piece. Any other larger trolleys or bags should be handed in as travel luggage at the check-in counter.
Please take care of your luggage!
For security reasons we request you not to leave your luggage unattended at any time. Please inform the police or the airport employees immediately if you see any luggage standing unattended.
