Business travellers and vacationers want to use the Internet irrespective of time and place. At Salzburg Airport you can surf the Internet or access your company’s internal network. It’s easy, reliable and requires NO CABLES.
All you need is a laptop with the appropriate WLAN card, which is already built-in in some models.
At Salzburg Airport WLAN can be accessed in the main building in the following areas:
Terminal 1, ground floor: coffee shop, departure hall (gates and Take Off Bar)
Terminal 1, upper level: Amadeus restaurant, Panorama Market Place self service restaurant, seminar rooms
This service is provided by HotSpot from T-Mobile
HotSpot from T-Mobile is based on WLAN technology (Wireless Local Area Network) and is the designation for wireless access to the Internet. Public WLAN allows for a transmission rate of up to 11 Mbit/s in the global standard 802.11b without using a cable. You can transfer large volumes of data both from the Internet and your company’s own Intranet, for instance if you want to download to your laptop complex presentations or e-mails with attachments.

10-hour HotSpot
Through WLAN 10-hour HotSpot T-Mobile Austria offers a regular rate as well as a rate option for low-priced, high-speed access. Included in the monthly fee of EUR 22 is a time bonus of 10 hours; billing is based on the amount of time online.
HotSpot Anytime (Registration via SMS)
As a T-Mobile Austria customer, you can also request your permanent HotSpot access data by SMS. Just send the text message “OPEN” to the number 8509526. You’ll receive a prompt reply containing your user name and password. You are charged for 10-minute intervals at a rate of EUR 1, which you are billed for in your monthly T-Mobile statement.
HotSpot Pass via credit card
You can also charge it to your credit card, so you can still use HotSpot even if you’re not a T-Mobile Austria customer. You can choose from the following online intervals:
HotSpot Multipass 60 Min. € 8
HotSpot Multipass 180 Min. € 15
HotSpot Pass 24 h € 18
HotSpot Pass via scratch card
You can also buy a HotSpot scratch card from a T-Mobile store, one of its partners or right at the HotSpot. Simply scratch off the covering to reveal the password and enter it along with the user ID.
The Multipasses give you credit for 60 or 180 minutes of free access to be used within 30 days after the first login. For every session initiated 10 minutes will be subtracted from the credit and thereafter every initiated minute. The 24-hour HotSpot Pass is valid for the next 24 hours after the first login, after which the 24-hour HotSpot Pass automatically expires. During this 24-hour period you may log on and off as often as you like.
Settings:
Under network name (SSID) either "tmobile" or "any" should be entered.
A WEP code should not be entered.
Proxy settings in the browser:
The corresponding proxy settings in the browser should be deactivated.
