Emergency Procedure at the airport
worst case In case of an emergency Salzburg airport has established a contingency plan: Due to the objective danger in case of an emergency, the airport organization is to be formed into an efficient operational organization

based on adequate human and material resources, guaranteeing or re-establishing the utmost safety and security procedure for the passengers, employees and the infrastructure.

Thereby, it is necessary to inform as many departments as possible of the incident in order to provide a quick and efficient aid. A frictionless and efficient communication between the operational organizations is guaranteed by the so called "airport alarm scheme".
In addition to the contingency plan a crises management committee, called KRIMA, was established. The KRIMA includes the directors and managers of the airport, a representative of the possibly involved airline and if necessary a representative of the authority. The main goal is to keep the impact of an damage event as low as possible in case of an incident. KRIMA is also responsible for the public relation work.
