As the independent regional German airline Hahn Air announced in a press release on March 24th 2003, they will service the route Salzburg-Zurich from March 31st 2003.
On working days, the route will be flown three times daily; on Saturdays there will be a morning and on Sundays an evening rotation. The first flight will depart Salzburg at 9.10 am and the last return flight from Zurich is scheduled for 6.00 p.m. Hahn Air will employ Beech 1900D aircraft, seating 17. If the service is successful on the Austrian market, starting in May a bigger aircraft of the type ATR 42-300 will be used, seating 46. Customers will earn frequent flyer miles on all services of Hahn Air within the Lufthansa program "Miles & More".
